BRIEF
To explore the concept of Rejection as part of my master’s thesis undertaken at Falmouth University.
The Rejection Laboratory is a speculative science laboratory
to bring in products that help deal with the painful human experiences of rejection. The Lab explores fictitious possibilities through the medium of branding.
Research has found that the pain caused by experiences of rejection is equivalent to that of physical pain. Yet, there has been no progress in finding solutions to manage these hurtful human occurences.
This project envisions a future wherein mental health has taken precedence over physical wellbeing. With a vision to create physical products that could help lessen, comfort or eliminate the feeling of rejection, the keen focus has been in using branding to express and explore what these products could look like in the future.
